Don't, whatever you do, bank with Barclays. Don't even take out a Barclaycard. This is our professional opinion because they are simply rubbish at providing adequate customer service.
On Tuesday 6 February 2018 we spent over 2 hours on the phone trying to talk to someone about a specialist service. We were given over 15 different telephone numbers to try, one of which was directed to Virgin Experiences. Now if we wanted to book a balloon ride over the Cotswolds then this would be great but it had nothing to do with Barclaycard or Barclays Bank.
So the message is that Barclays and their partner Barclaycard are quite happy to behave like a small business too reluctant to divulge their telephone number. And it wastes our time and yours.
So talk to a bank that you can speak to real people and never, ever sign up a business account with Barclays.
